AMERICA Latina un mosaico de expresiones culturales en Miami


In October 2nd and 3rd at 8:00pm and 5:00pm respectively, Danmar Academy of Performing Arts, DAPA is presenting “AMERICA Latina”, a mosaic of cultural expressions, featuring Cuba, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, Venezuela, Mexico, and the roots of the Latin culture at 
The Gusman Center for the Performing Arts. 

An extraordinaire show which conjugates a big exponents of live music like the violinist and conductor Mr. Eddy Marcano, who performed at New York City's "Carnegie Hall" among other prestigious venues last year, with musical arrangements by Mr. Gustavo Caruci and Peyber Medina, and the dance of diverse genres led by the outstanding venezuelan dancer, choreographer and producer Ms. María Fernanda Urbáez. 

Professional dancers, choreographers, singers and musicians complete the cast of this magnificent production, which have met with critical and commercial success, with sold out crowds at every show. 

Latin American culture is the product of many diverse influences. One of the main characteristics of Latin American music and dance is its diversity and its original blending of the variety of styles that arrived in America and became influential. In this opportunity, we are considering the bicentennial of several of the countries in the region, which gives us an opportunity to celebrate Latin America’s history and cultural heritage, 

A 90 minute show that will transport the audience on a cultural journey through Latin America, starting with the roots of the Hispanic culture and leading to the many dances and music that characterize the different countries of “America Latina”, filled with live music, colorful costumes and beautiful dances.
