A Valentine´s Nostalgia en Miami

Whether Valentine’s Day ends up leaving something to be desired or you’re still reeling from Cupid’s arrow, you’re sure to swoon for the sounds of The Miami Symphony Orchestra (MISO) as it presents “A Valentine’s Nostalgia” on Friday, February 19 at the University of Miami Gusman Concert Hall and Sunday, February 21 at the Lincoln Theatre in Miami Beach.

The romantic repertoire includes De Falla’s bewitching “El Amor Brujo,” selections from Bizet’s beloved opera Carmen, and Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet Suite, for an added measure of star-crossed love.

The program also features Cuban-American mezzo-soprano Mabel Ledo, whose sumptuous voice has been described by Opera News as a “voluminous, firmly-placed mezzo that made one long to hear more of her.”
